Lord Conrad Black

Conrad Black is a former publisher. He was the chairman of the London Daily and Sunday Telegraph and Spectator and their parent companies in the Hollinger group, and was the founder of the National Post and publisher of many other Canadian and American newspapers. The companies he was involved in also owned the Jerusalem Post. His company was also the principal newspaper operator in Australia for some years.

In 2003 and 2004 he retired or was removed from his positions and is involved in a series of lawsuits. Accusations have been made against him and others and he looks forward to his complete exoneration and vindication and the exposure of some of his accusers. He has counter-sued his principal civil accusers in some of the largest libel claims in Canadian history.

Conrad Black is 61, and a graduate of Carleton, Laval, and McGill Universities. He is a member of the British House of Lords, a Privy Councilor and Officer of the Order of Canada, and a Knight of the Holy See. He is a historian and biographer of Franklin D. Roosevelt and Maurice Duplessis, and a commentator. He is married to the writer Barbara Amiel Black and has two sons and a daughter from his previous marriage. He now lives mainly in Toronto.
