Anita Kunz

Editorial Cartoonist

Best known for her editorial cartoons on the covers of Rolling Stone, The New Yorker, The New York Times Magazine and TIME (among others), Kunz recently became the first Canadian artist – and the first woman – to hold a solo exhibition of her work at the Library of Congress in Washington, D.C.

She held other solo shows at the IDEE Gallery in Toronto and the Foreign Press Office in New York, and was recently a panelist at the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame’s “Greatest Albums That Never Were” event.

She is the 2003 recipient of the Hamilton King Award from the Society of Illustrators in New York and has her works in several permanent collections, including that of the Galleria Comunale d’Arte Modernae Contemporanea in Rome and the National Portrait Gallery in Washington, D.C.
